Fresh off the heels of her two smash releases “Run It Up” and “No Strings”, Shae returns at the top of 2024 with her new hit single “Do Right”, produced by Grammy award winning producer Shannon Sanders of Nashville, TN. This song takes you back to Shae’s southern roots, giving you a flavorful mix of Country, Blues, Soul, and Gospel. Shae loves to empower women and inspire them to overcome heartbreak. With a sound that is unique and original, the star honed her skills growing up in the church singing gospel music while studying the art and craft of Classical music while in high school and college. Shae credits childhood choir director, Gladys Knight, for exposing the eager talent to trailblazing female artists like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Lauren Hill, and Cece Winans. These legends influenced Shae’s desire to be a champion of confident, sexy, and always classy women. Shae combined her gospel roots, classical training and sultry charm to mesmerize audiences in Music City’s competitive R&B circuit and throughout North America.
The Lake Charles, Louisiana native Shae Nycole is a celebrated R&B recording artist whose deduct single “Ready” was independently released in 2015 peaked at #34 on US Urban AC Top 40 Chart and peaked at #3 on the Indie Urban AC Charts. She went on to release “Eff Love,” “Hands,” “Zydeco,” “T-Shirt and Panties,” “Shoulda Told Ya,” and “Lessons and Blessings.” With hundreds of thousands of YouTube Views and a rising fan base of monthly listeners who stream her hits, Shae Nycole has solidified herself as one of R&B’s top acts.
Now, at a time when some are questioning the viability of the genre of R&B music, it’s finally time for this multi-talent to take her deserved place in the spotlight. Ever since she was a young girl, Shae dreamed of being a singer, songwriter, producer, and television star.
This past year Shae partnered with Music City Cruisers for a “Run It Up with Shae Nycole.” The team gave a free yacht party to 10 women to party on the yacht with Shae Nycole - free drinks, free food, and gifts from Shae Nycole’s boutique “Shae’s Closet.”
In the month of October for Breast Cancer month Shae partnered with “Hot Box Fitness Nashville” for “Run It Up with Shae Nycole and Knock Out Cancer.” Hot Box gave 10 free memberships to cancer survivors who worked out with Shae personally at her fitness gym - together they knocked out cancer through boxing.
Shae finished off the year with “Shae Slays Christmas” giving back to the city with women empowerment give-backs for single mothers with children. Shae also gave 20 women from Hope Foundation, single women, gifts for Christmas. Her charitable deed were not overlooked and in 2015 the mayor instituted the Official Shae Day at The Pink Carpet showcase where Shae raised funds for The Cancer Society.
As a performing artist, Shae graced stages across North America and toured with Ginuwine, Tank, Keith Sweat, Teddy Riley, Rick Ross and Plies, K C & Jojo as both an opening act and in the line-up of some of the biggest selling concert tours.
No stranger to acting, BET featured playwright Alvin Moore was so impressed with her alluring stage presence that he quickly casted her in his production “A Mother’s Prayer” where she was seen by award-winning playwright, Garret Davis. Davis placed Shae in “If Loving You Is Wrong,” the hit plays based on Harper Collins’ best-selling author Nina Foxx’s book “Marrying Up,” “The Lord Will Make A Way,” “Forget Me Not,” “Mama’s Girls,” and “Before you say I do” alongside Regina Bell, Leon, and Jackie Christie from Basketball Wives.
She has been cast alongside key urban theater actors such as Garrett Jenkins (Little G of Silk), Calvin Richardson, Scott Sable (American Idol), Keith Floyd (After 7) and Ann Nesby. Most recently Shae was casted in the play “Before You Say I Do” starring opposite of actor Leon comedian Rodney Perry and the legendary Regina Belle.
When Shae is not performing drama or getting audiences up on their feet to a Shae original- she can be found in her hometown of Lake Charles, Louisiana. In November 2014, the singer returned home and partnered with Christus St. Patrick Hospital where she founded the Annual Celebration of Life Cancer Awareness Showcase to raise funds for local cancer support programs. Shae was awarded with a Key to the City and honored with an official proclamation of Celebration of Life Day in Lake Charles. Everything Shae does is with total conviction. Her debut album, charity concerts, and acting performances are no exception.
All in all, Shae is a breath of fresh air in a music landscape cultured with too much artifice, insincerity and half-baked vocalizing. Shae has never followed trends, so don't expect her trying to mimic any. The music is her and it’s the kind of music you want to take with you on a road trip, to the gym, and to the office.
